Why is gold formed in rock of shale in Arizona without any quartz matrix?
Many hunters have metal detectors Arizona gold nuggets found in the shale bedrock believe most of the gold found in the shale bedrock is formed without matrix.This applied to quartz all are small veins.These detectorists find small nuggets without annexed quartz and Creed, as there was no original quartz matrix.I think a small percentage case gold could be formed through the hot gases and liquids in matrixbut schistwithoutquartz that in most cases, the quartz has eroded, dissolved by manganese or natural elements.What is not the real story? Is there an easy read non-technical description of the geology?
Gold is not always associated with Quartz however, that is the way I'm more familiar with it too. The gold in the Homestake mine in Lead, South Dakota is generally not associated with quartz.
